Over the coming months we’d like to give you an impression of the production process. Today we kick off this ‘dev diaries’ series with a short discussion of our art pipeline.
As you have no-doubt seen, we put effort into making Pilot Perils look great. This is achieved by creating a library of re-usable Tiles (shown above), which we use to dress up our levels. These same Tiles can also be combined into larger objects (as seen on the right), which are used to make functional elements, such as moving Islands, Crushers, Elevators and other large, re-usable level elements.
